The tapestry you wove was breathtaking. As you know I have one daughter...and then had two miscarriages. People would say "At least you have the one child." And they were right, but no one acknowledged your feeling--that our babies--kept and lost, are our children. Time goes on and they dont grow with it--except in our hearts and minds. I think people are a bit more enlightened about the different ways we "carry" our children--I have a box that I keep--not only mementos, but poems and thoughts song lyrics that have come to me over the years. When you mentioned the hydrangeas, I was just finishing edits on a piece

The end of it is that I buy some blue hydrangeas and the cashier said, Its too bad they dont last too long. And I said, "But that is why I love them so."

Sometimes I think our words are our children.
