I was exhausted by this movie. It depicted one of those ways of engaging in which there's a point of no return. To me Malcolm was more narcissist than "monster," even though some of his behavior was "monstrous." Marie had a strong passive aggressive thing going that was played beautifully by Zendaya.

I am really glad I watched it, but find that I am haunted by it---alternately thinking of it as "entertainment" and a "case study" from my therapy practice, in which I would be screaming, "Stop! Do Not Pass Go"... Can you imagine anyone tuning in to it as a "Valentine's Day" movie, consistent with strange marketing messaging???
