I disagree. In my clinical work, I saw goood marriages become more fragile, with deaths of children, frequent loss, chronic illness- cancer and it was as if the people could only bear their own sorrow--without support to be there for each other. 'there are otherss where the people have so much baggage they need indiv therapy first and still. have limited relationship material.
